This session will provide an introductory explanation of corporate governance (CG) and sound CG practices. This session will specifically refer to the Maltese Corporate Governance Code. Moreover, this session will explain how financial crime compliance fits into a firms corporate governance practices.
Session 2: The Wider Spectrum of Financial Crime: the Importance of Looking Beyond AML/CFT
Financial crime compliance spans further than AML/CFT. This session will provide a general outlook on different financial crime typologies and related these to how sound corporate governance practices can be leveraged to mitigate relevant risks.
