Dr Tracy Cauchi is a Partner at Cauchi Farrugia Advocates and an Anti-Money Laundering Officer at the Malta Gaming Authority. Dr Cauchi obtained her Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Malta, following the submission of her thesis on Anti-Money Laundering entitled, ‘The Fourth Anti-Money Laundering Directive – A Challenge or an Opportunity for the Maltese Gaming Industry?’. She has acquired extensive knowledge in both the land-based and remote gaming sectors, primarily through the various roles she has held since joining the MGA in 2014. Presently in her current role as AML Officer, Dr Cauchi is responsible for ensuring the adherence to AML regulations, policies and procedures by the respective gaming licensees. Dr Cauchi is also a litigation lawyer, having been exposed to this sector since commencing her law course at University. She currently practices litigation within her law firm Cauchi Farrugia Advocates, of which she is co-founder, which firm specialises mainly in Civil, Family, Commercial and Corporate law.
