Speaker: Elena Grima Tortell

Dr. Elena Grima Tortell is a lawyer by profession, having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Honours (LLB. (Hons.), a Masters of Advocacy (M.Adv.) with the University of Malta and subsequently with a Masters of Law (LLM) specializing in Corporate and Securities Law, having studied with the University of London. Elena has been admitted to the Bar of Malta and the Superior Courts of Malta, successfully completed the Malta Institute of Taxation course on Taxation and the IFSP course on Trusts Law and Management. Elena is a Manager in the corporate team within the Deloitte Malta Business Tax team focusing primarily on corporate law transactions. In her role, Elena’s primary area of focus consists of the provision of corporate advisory services, in connection with the ongoing corporate obligations of companies, as well as the corporate implications of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, with specific focus on group restructurings, transfer of assets and shares, and succession planning
