Ariane Azzopardi is an Associate Director with KPMG Malta within the Quality and Risk management function. Ariane has over fifteen years’ experience in this field, and handles compliance and risk management queries, including those related to the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism as part of her day to day duties. Prior to joining KPMG, Ariane used to head the Compliance function and was the Money Laundering Reporting Officer with a Fund Administrator and Corporate Services Provider. Before joining the CSP, Ariane had spent 11 years at Deloitte Malta where she used to head the Practice Protection Group and was also the MLRO and the Deputy Director of Independence. She was seconded to the Global office at Deloitte and participated on a regular basis in practice reviews within the network of member firms in connection with firm policies and procedures. Ariane is a member of the PMLFT sub-committee at the Malta Institute of Accountants and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.
