Mr. Albert DeBono, is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Malta. Mr DeBono is the managing director of BUSINESS DIAGNOSTICS and a founder and director with ALTA CONSULTA. With Business Diagnostics he has developed the four-pillars integrated approach to growth, the four pillars being - Funding – Business Design – Business Support – Digital Presence, an approach that is helping countless business grow and achieve new heights. He is also vested in providing the services in the most cost-effective and accessible manner using all available technologies. He has helped countless enterprises improve performance and source finance from Investors, EU supported business measures and the banks. He has extensive management experience and has also previously been the CEO of the Public Broadcasting Services Limited. Under Mr DeBono’s tenure, TVM saw its audience share increase to 60%, and consolidate its position as the leading television station in Malta. Concurrently, commercial revenues increased by 50% and the station was been turned around commercially where PBS registered financial surpluses as compared to previous annual losses of millions of euros. Mr. DeBono served as a member of the operations council of the European Broadcasting Union. The council advises the EBU executive board on matters of strategy. He was also vice president of CIRCOM an association of over 350 regional and has been at the forefront in representing small countries’ issues at the highest echelons of the European Broadcasting Union, securing deals for the rights for the transmission of the World Cup and other major sporting and entertainment events. More recently, he has also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Transport Malta, overseeing multi-million euro projects and budgets. There he has been responsible for the re-engineering of the procurement function and introduced ICT systems to ensure procurement remains within budget parameters and according to established procedures.
