The course focuses on Shipping and Aviation Cell Companied introduced in 2020 through L.N. 248 of 2020 Companies Act (Shipping and Aviation Cell Companies) Regulations, 2020.

Such regulations allow ship, yacht and aircraft owners the flexibility to ring fence multiple assets and rights within the same company; thus allowing ship and aviation owners, operators and lessors the possibility to achieve higher efficiencies in terms of corporate and tax governance.

The course focuses on Shipping and Aviation Cell Companies introduced in 2020 through L.N. 248 of 2020 Companies Act (Shipping and Aviation Cell Companies) Regulations, 2020.

Such regulations allow ship, yacht and aircraft owners the flexibility to ring fence multiple assets and rights within the same company; thus allowing ship and aviation owners, operators and lessors the possibility to achieve higher efficiencies in terms of corporate and tax governance.
In addition to the above, L.N. 248 of 2020 Companies Act (Shipping and Aviation Cell Companies) Regulations, 2020 introduced a mechanism which allows the segregation and protection of the cellular assets of the company including segregated accounts, compartments or units.
Dr Piazza will analyse the benefits of such structures and the different uses and applications that can be made.
