[ONLINE] CSP Class B & Class C: Good Governance for External Directors 20 June

The CSP Rulebook issued by the MFSA in March 2020 requires persons acting as directors to discharge all their duties and responsibilities in relation to the company and to comply with the law and principles of the good corporate governance and any applicable legislation and regulation issued by competent authorities. Directors should have adequate experience, expertise and resources to be able to discharge their responsibilities. Specific duties of directors include the taking reasonable steps to ensure that any company of which they are a director, complies with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and any Regulations.

 

This webinar will focus in on the main requirements emerging from the document and looks at answering some key questions, in particular:

  • What is good corporate governance?
  • High level overview of the duties and responsibilities of directors.
  • Are there any specific requirements emanating from the CSP Rulebook for CSPs acting as directors on other companies?
