Seminar Description

The session aims to provide an understanding into the scope, structure, strategy, and application of government-backed financial support. With a particular focus on Malta Enterprise schemes, EU co-funded programs, and sector-specific tax incentives, this training is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to ensure fiscal support for business growth, innovation, sustainability, and workforce development.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of Malta’s national aid ecosystem and how it aligns with broader EU objectives. The session will explore how fiscal aid is structured under current policy frameworks, including the de minimis rules and the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER), together with practical application of both direct support mechanisms (e.g., grants and subsidies) and indirect incentives (e.g., tax credits, exemptions, and deductions) available under the Income Tax Act (Cap. 123) and related subsidiary legislation.
