Anne Marie Thake lectures in the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA) at the University of Malta. After completing her graduate studies, she read for a Master’s degree in human resource development at the University of Victoria, Manchester and a PhD at the University of Bath in social and policy sciences. Her main research interest focuses on graduate employability skills gaps. Prior to her academic career, Anne Marie worked in various governmental and private organisations, namely, BOV plc, Deloitte, Alf. Mizzi and Sons (Marketing) Group and the Office of the Prime Minister as an HR specialist with over twenty years’ experience in local and international HR spheres. She has championed various HR value-added initiatives and projects as well as delivered several training programmes to staff members and clients in the areas of talent management, leadership and management skills, performance management and staff development. Anne Marie also had the opportunity to work for the European Parliament - Directorate General for Research – Luxembourg on issues related to performance management. In 2017, Anne Marie was appointed Head of the Department of Public Policy at the University of Malta.
