[ONLINE] The Board of Directors – Its Roles, Responsibilities and Members – 20 October 2020

Company boards of directors exist because they are an optimal response to the conflicts of interest arising between shareholders and the company’s management. Nevertheless, boards are very complicated to study even if there are thousands of books dealing with the subject. The aim of this short course is to go through some of the most basic concepts behind the functions that a board of directors is entrusted with, and shall also analyse the rights and responsibilities that various individuals have vis-à-vis the board of directors and the wellbeing of the company in general.
