The Customer Risk assessment is one of the pillars to effectively ensure sound and robust internal structures to detect, monitor and prevent money being laundered to your firm. The session will look at the aspects to be considered in your customer risk assessment and how it may be effectively used throughout a business relationship.

Ongoing monitoring of a business relationship is a key element to protect your firm from being misused to launder money and finance terrorism. Efficient and adequate customer due diligence shall help you monitor your customers on an ongoing basis as well as monitor transactions vigilantly and in accordance with local requirements and expectations. This course shall introduce you to the fundamentals of transaction monitoring and how to spot red flags, act accordingly and improve your internal controls.

Thursday 4 November – 9.00-10.30

One of the main pillars in preventing money laundering and funding of terrorism is to collect adequate and the appropriate customer due diligence. This session will go through the definitions used within the FIAU Implementing Procedures in order to assess who the customer is and the beneficial owner is as well as help you break down the obligations of customer due diligence into more tangible processes.

 

Tuesday 9 November – 9.00-10.30

Course Fee

The Course fee is €85.00. Each session can also be booked individually at €35.00  The fee covers seminar participation and access to event resources. Login details will be provided closer to the date. The course entitles participants to 4.5 hrs Core CPE. (1.5 per session). Certificate will be issued to all participants.
